Salt Water Bath

Motueka Saltwater baths, is a historical baths first build in 1938. Tasman beach has been very popular with sharks, especially during summer. To give people a save place to swim, this bath was built.

In 1992, this bath was re-renovated and wooden fence was built as a safety measure for the user. Through a special gate, the water come in during high tide. The gate will be close and water remain in the pool.

Every summer(October till April) this bath will be open to public. Volunteer will clean the pool every 2 weeks, to keep this bath clean.
